Held annually, the 7th Underwater Festival™ 2013 (UF13) continues along the concept of the 2012 event. With the tagline 'The Australasia Challenge' it incorporates an Australasia-wide simultaneous photo and video shootout competition like no other with close to U$100,000 in prizes.
UF13 featured a shootout competition that happened simultaneous all over Australasia during the whole month of September - 25 countries spanning both hemispheres - every dive you can imagine was a shootout locality, every dive centre, liveaboard, resort in the area could facilitate this new kind of shootout. You could dive your local favourite spots, go out with your dive club or shore dive with your buddy
Hundreds of divers were be part of this huge event and not unlike an underwater 'Earth Hour' helped to highlight the underwater beauty but also the underwater issues of this fantastic bioregion and helped to show the world what we've got to lose.
