Description
Protected and secure in the presence of a large bull escort this mother Humpback whale and her baby lie fast asleep close to the surface in the crystal clear waters of the Ha'apai group. The bull dives emitting a small stream of bubbles as he descends, a gentle warning as to his own presence and a reminder that we are close enough to take the photos. The male sang to the mother and calf as they slumbered beside us, the song was so powerful that the vibration could be felt in our fin tips. What a lullaby!
