Description
A humpback whale breathes out at the surface, the misty blast rises three meters into the blue sky. Inhaled air heats up in the giants lungs during a dive and as it is exhaled and hits the cold air the moisture in it condenses rapidly. Just like us when we breathe out on a cold winters day, this is a winters day for a whale too, September in the Pacific, a bitter 32 degrees. The blow helps whale watching boats to locate the whales from miles away.
