Official Underwater Festival Fringe Events are listed on this page. There are things happening all over Australasia as part of the Underwater Festival 2011 (UF11) and this list is growing all the time so please come back often

Australia

Dive Fest at Heron Island Resort on the Great Barrier Reef, Australia featuring diving legend and Festival ambassador Neville Coleman, Gary Bell, Bob Halstead and others. Heron is a Great Barrier Reef Resort located on a true coral cay. Meaning, you are quite literally surrounded by the reef, you can swim right from the beach to an endless garden of coral teeming with marine life.

Underwater Photography Workshops with Underwater Festival judges Stephen Wong & Takako Uno on Christmas and Cocos Islands. Christmas Island was the destination for the 2010 Underwater Festival and in 2011 this combo-trip will be a unique event for those who want to learn from and dive with the best. All in small groups and very unique, exclusive and unspoiled environments.

Great Victorian Nudi Hunt with Dragon Mouse Diving - Dragon Mouse Diving offers photographic and identification guided underwater tours for Certified Divers.
Workshops with Photo Pro (name tba) with Mike Ball Dive Expeditions on 2 liveaboard departures between 2 and 11 September 2011 - Since 1969 Mike Ball has been setting standards in the Australian dive industry with exceptional liveaboard expeditions to the Great Barrier Reef and Coral Sea.

Indonesia

Fringe Event (details to be announced) at Kungkungan Bay Resort and Tasik Ria Dive Resort in Manado, Sulawesi, Indonesia. A fantastic combo of diving at the reefs of Bunaken National Park and the critters of Lembeh Strait with two of the longest established operators in the area.
Underwater Photography Workshop with underwater photography legend and Violinist William Tan on a 11-day cruise on The Arenui to the Komodo islands. The Arenui is a magnificent wooden vessel that raised its anchors in June 2008 to explore the majestic underwater world of Indonesian archipelago.

Fringe Event (details to be announced) at Lembeh Cottages and Kima Bajo Resort & Spa with Eco-Divers from Manado in Sulawesi, Indonesia. A fantastic combo of diving at the reefs of Bunaken National Park and the critters of Lembeh Strait with two very high class operators in the area.

Fringe Event (details to be announced) at Cocotinos. In picturesque Wori Bay, North Sulawesi is a dynamic new beach resort in the heart of Kima Bajo, a fishing village, overlooking Bunaken National Marine Park. The resort is situated on a chocolate-coloured beach, in full view of majestic Manado Tua, a dormant volcano across the Sulawesi sea.
